Perspective is everything! It’s how you see what you see.

It’s when you see what you see, and it does not change what you know!

Are you more focused on what you see or what you know to be true? If you are wondering where you can find what is true, it’s in the Word of God. Do yourself a favor if you have not already, make getting in the Word a priority of your day.

Stand on the Word

What I know for me is that when I submerge myself in the Word of God, I find the promises of God for me. That reassures me that there is healing in the name of Jesus. I am reminded that my strength is renewed in him and that faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word of the Lord. In the Word, I find that I am passing through and that I am not alone.

Take heart whatever it is, you are just passing through. Keep the perspective that whatever you are in, whatever is around you, or on either side of you, it will not affect you because it doesn’t apply to you. There is a covering on your life that allows you to pass without harm.

In Isaiah 43:2 it says, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

My faith tells me that what I see has nothing to do with what I know to be true. Again, what do I know to be true the Word of the Lord.

Say it with me:

I can find my peace in the scriptures

I can find my strength n the scriptures

I can find my faith in the scriptures

I can find my healing in the scripture

My resolve is in the scripture

Be Mindful of your Mind

There was a time when I would wear myself out with the what ifs. Let me share something with you, take that weight off yourself TODAY! It’s too much on your brain. It paralyzes you and keeps you from the possibility of ever having a positive perspective. When you prepare for a hypothetical situation it takes your mind further than you meant for it to go. In reality, it often stems from a suggestion of the enemy, he made up and whispered in your ear that eventuality settled in your mind.

Let us not be cute and act like we have not had to war off the enemy and his lies that try to sow seeds in your head from time to time. How often have you had a thought, worked out the whole process, and just to your surprise it never even happened.

The what ifs will have you “coo-coo” for Cocoa Puffs preparing for something that may never be. Now you know I love to plan and keep things in order, but there is a difference between prepare and prevent. There is wisdom in making plans and there is fear when you become excessive so much, so you are trying to prevent things from happening. You will rob yourself of the gift of today and an amazing possibility of a beautiful tomorrow by doing the most.

Protect your Gates

What are you watching? Who are you listening to? Your eyes and ears are your gates and you must protect them from anything that can contaminate your spirit. It’s these gates that sow seeds into your mind and what you think you will eventually say.

So, if you are fearful it is okay for now. But remember this, that according to Psalm 34 when you seek out the Lord, He will hear you, and will deliver you from all of your fears. Take your fears to God, He is a BIG God He can handle it. If you are uncertain and it makes you anxious, study Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Give People their Opinions Back

This, of course, does not apply to everyone, but you know the type, you probably have three people pictured already who fit the criteria to a tee! The one who has a suggestion and opinion about EVERYTHING you SHOULD do, how you should react and respond. Let no one tell you how to experience your experience. We have all been affected one way or another by current events. No one has the right to tell you how you should feel. I myself have experienced a range of emotions over the past month, that does not negate the fact that I know that God has a plan and I trust him. It means that I am human and so are you. Your experience is personal therefore you are the one walking this road. It’s always easy for someone on the outside to form an opinion second hand. Guess what you may have your moments, and that is to be expected, but God’s “got” you!

This is one of my scriptures of encouragement for right now:

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

This tells me that God is doing something NEW, even now it may not look like it, but it is still happening. I must change my perspective to see it in the spirit before it is manifested in the natural. There will be wilderness moments and desert times, but God will create a way for us to pass and streams to quench our thirst.

What NEW thing did God promise you before this pandemic? Have you ever thought that God wants to do it in a way different than you ever thought it could be done? This increases your faith and gives him Glory at the same time.

Remember, perspective is everything especially when you are just passing through

Today I pray that God overwhelms you with His peace when you become overwhelmed with the times of today. I pray that He gives you his comfort in exchange for your troubles. May He continue to be the lifter of your head when you feel defeated. I pray that He calms your anxiety and reassures you that HE is still God. Even in an uncertain world, He is a certain God. I pray that God’s love overtakes you whenever you feel like you are alone. I pray that you feel his presence whenever you feel like no one gets it. I decree and declare a strife free homes and marriages stronger than ever. I pray that the hierarchy gap that has caused a breach between parent and child to be closed. The communication of the household shall become better than before. May God show up in every area of your life that you need him.

To the person who is running on fumes may God send someone to refuel you sooner than later. If you have asked God for solutions, He heard you, it’s just a matter of time. When you feel like you have tried everything and keep coming up short, keep showing up, it won’t be long now! Keep the faith and keep believing!

Trust me, you are doing MUCH better than you think.
